New Adventures Unlocked!
5 months ago – Tue, Sep 30, 2025 at 08:29:48 AM

I'm glad to announce we've passed yet another stretch goal! This will add a pair of rich new adventures into both expansions -- the Trashworld region for Westward Bound and the Blackwall Correctional Scenario for Lost Highway!

Our next goal is a bit more of a jump, but I'm very excited for all the incredible art we'll be able to commission as we get there.

Other milestones are all around -- we're now far past our original campaign's funding level, and we're close to hitting 300%.

Here's a few more bits about the game from around the internet!

The Last Caravan Is Rolling Forward
5 months ago – Mon, Sep 29, 2025 at 10:54:30 AM

We're now five days in on this thing, and rolling quickly towards 300% funded. We're hard at work on development over here and having a blast.

Check out this delightful piece for Westward Bound by Galen Pejeau!

We're getting more folks hopping onto the Mythworks discord and engaging. You can always post questions and comments here on the kickstarter page, but if you want to access the brilliant other members of the community, come say hello!

I'm also announcing our next stretch goal! At 30,000, we're going to be able to fund a whole bunch of new art from our amazing crew of Last Caravan artists. Art direction and commissioning is the most fun part of this entire process, and we've been incredibly lucky to work with people with wonderful imaginations, who care about this game and its message.

See you all around! Talk soon!

Stretch Goal 3 - Homeworld Song
5 months ago – Thu, Sep 25, 2025 at 09:35:16 AM

Hello, travelers!

We have passed our third stretch goal, unlocking some new alien lore as well as the secret alien solo journalling game Homeworld Song. This section of the game is intended to be viable as its own evocative sc-fi game experience, but will also be the perfect way to generate deep, complex alien character histories and NPCs!

I wanted to share a little bit of the lore we're working on. All this is WIP, but zoom in there and you'll learn some interesting things about the planet of Aern where the invaders come from!

Our next stretch goal is at 23k -- we'll be announcing new stretch goals soon. In the meantime, check out this awesome animation Breno Macedo and Emanoel Melo of the (work in progress! art not final!) Satchel Box and expansions!

Have a great day! As always, hit me up with all questions and concerns!

And Just Like That...
5 months ago – Wed, Sep 24, 2025 at 06:38:07 AM

Our second stretch goal has been passed! We will be adding two new doggo imprints to Westward Bound! We'll be getting to work on these right away and will share progress when we have it.

What a lovely first day of a Kickstarter we've had, here at the 20 hour mark! Two stretch goals passed, nearly at 200%.

Our next stretch goal will unlock two exciting adventures for our expansion: TRASHWORLD for Westward Bound & BLACKWALL CORRECTIONAL for Lost Highway. These adventures will be deeper and more ambitious than other regions in the books!

TRASHWORLD is what it sounds like: a 100-mile stretch of debris and garbage, the remains of the Greenway Sanitary Landfill. Now, your pack of dogs will need to navigate this stinky ecosystem of warring factions and strange hopes. Think "Isle of Dogs" meets "District 9."

BLACKWALL CORRECTIONAL FACILITY, for Lost Highway, was a high-security prison, until it was bisected by an alien military installation. Whether you came here looking to rescue a friend who's been imprisoned there or steal a piece of alien weaponry, the greatest challenge will be making it out alive. Keen-eyed readers will see echoes of Half-Life 2's Nova Prospekt here, though we'll be taking this in our own Harmonic direction. (TBH though, playing Half-Life 2 in VR last year has had an extremely outsized influence on the design of Lost Highway.)

Both of these adventures are deep dives -- complex scenarios that could take one or multiple sessions to fully play!
